THE BIG EIGHT

‘The Big Eight’ is a project exploring the scope of society through social identifiers and with the help of each person, they come together to form a visual display of categorisation. These distinctions: religion, age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ability, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status mean that we can associate ourselves in a certain way as well as giving ourselves a clarity on what we are not. Through each classification, the focus is on the minority, such as Islam, deafness, and homosexuality.
